My name is Jaylene. Before finding fitness as a passion I was already desperately in need of it. Growing up, no one talked to me about nutrition, activity, or good posture. I ate whatever we had and walked, slouched, leaned, and rested however my body felt comfortable. As a result, this led to me developing a spinal deviation condition called Scoliosis. Years of bad habits gave birth to consequences that I still have to navigate through to this day, including back pain, a lack of symmetry, and constant modifications to basic exercises to improve my condition.
Fitness has helped me to not only improve my scoliosis, but I look better, I feel better, and I am now capable of doing so many amazing things like running and rock climbing that I would not have been able to do before! So now I want to help you. I overcame my obstacle, what is yours?
